More waves like that.
Know why that one felt so good.
TRAX uses motion and pressure sensors on your surfboard to capture how you move through every turn.
It shows you what is working, where you are progressing and what to try next, then builds personalized coaching around your surfing.
Beta testing starts this September.
We are opening TRAX to 200 surfers and coaches at every level. Put it through its paces, tell us what works and help shape what comes next.

TRAX analyzes your surfing, then turns each session into progress.
Motion sensors record how the board rotates, accelerates and changes direction. Pressure sensors record where and when you put weight through each turn.
Across a session, those signals reveal the patterns behind your best turns, the changes that create more speed, control and flow, and the moments worth building on.
TRAX turns those patterns into personal coaching: one clear focus, clear cues and a plan for your next session.

Understand your pressure, timing and balance.

Build more speed, control and flow.
Your surfing, wave by wave.
Review your sessions, analyze your turns and understand your quiver - take your understanding of your surfing to the next level.

Take the right thing into the next session.
A useful insight should change what you do next. TRAX connects your session feedback with focused cues, drills and progress tracking, so every session starts with a clear purpose.

What people ask us.
What is TRAX, exactly?
TRAX is a board-mounted surf system that combines motion sensing with pressure sensors beneath the traction pad. It reads how the board moves and how you move through it, then turns those patterns into session insight and personalized coaching.
Who is TRAX for?
TRAX is for surfers who want to progress, from people building reliable fundamentals to experienced surfers refining timing, control and consistency. Surf coaches can use it to add objective session insight to what they already see.
What types of boards does it work with?
TRAX is currently being developed around shortboards and hybrid-style boards. Compatibility varies with tail shape, traction setup and available mounting space, so support for other board types will expand only after those setups have been properly tested.
How does it attach to my board? Can I use it with more than one?
The sensor uses a low-profile mounting plate and a safety tie near the tail. The sensor is designed to move between compatible boards, while accurate pressure sensing requires a TRAX-compatible traction setup on each board.
How is TRAX different from other surf trackers?
Many surf trackers focus on location, speed and wave count. TRAX focuses on technique: how the board rotated and accelerated, when you shifted pressure and how those patterns changed through a maneuver. The goal is to explain what to improve, not simply record that you surfed.
Okay, but how does TRAX really work?
TRAX combines motion and pressure data from each session, calibrates it to the surfer and board, and looks for repeatable patterns across waves and maneuvers. It uses those patterns to show what is working, highlight where small changes can add more speed, control or consistency, and create a focused next step.
How much will TRAX cost?
Final pricing has not been announced. Beta applications are not a purchase or pre-order, and joining the mailing list does not commit you to buying anything.
When can I get it?
TRAX is not shipping publicly yet. Beta testing starts in September 2026 with over 200 surfers and coaches. You can apply for the TRAX Beta or join the mailing list for product and availability updates.
